Mediterranean turkey burgers come together with delicious Mediterranean flavors such as spinach, Kalamata olives, Opa! Greek Seasoning and oregano. And don’t forget the feta cheese!This began as a clean out the refrigerator day, but it turned into one of my favorite turkey burgers. Ground Turkey is so versatile, it’s perfect for a clean out the refrigerator meal. You can add any flavors to ground turkey and make a delicious burger or even meatballs! Make it Italian, Asian, or just add your favorite flavors and make it your own.
Mediterranean Turkey Burgers with Zucchini
Ground turkey with Mediterranean flavors are a match made in heaven. Grilled to perfection this is a delicious dish you will make often!
- 1/4 cup zucchini small dice
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup red onion fine dice
- 1/4 Cup spinach chopped fine
- 10 Kalamata olives sliced
- 2 Tbsp Opa! Greek Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp oregano
- 1 Tsp lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp roasted peppers chopped
- 1 lb 93% lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
Heat indoor or outdoor grill to medium.
Combine all ingredients, except for the Feta cheese, in a large bowl. Add the ground turkey and mix lightly until combined, being careful not to over mix. Carefully fold in the Feta cheese.
Separate into four patties and spray with olive oil spray.
Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side until the burger is no longer pink.
Serve on a roll with lettuce, tomato and tzatziki or naked with a lightly dressed salad.
