My wonderful son knows how much I love lobster. He gave me three beautiful lobster tails for my birthday and made me promise that I would eat each one myself. So today was the day!
I made a marinade out of orange zest, lemon zest, minced garlic, Paprika and olive oil. After cutting both the top and bottom open, I dripped the marinade into the lobster tail. I let them sit for about 30 minutes while I warmed the grill. I placed each one on the grill upside down for seven minutes. When I flipped them, I put small pieces of butter inside and grilled for another five minutes until they registered 140° The hardest part of all of this was letting them sit for ten minutes before I could take the shell off and enjoy the sweet and delicious meat inside.
Citrus Grlled Lobster Tails
Orange and lemon zest, garlic and Paprika make these lobster tails even more delicious.
- 1 Tbsp Lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp Orange zest
- 1 Garlic clove Minced
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 8 oz Lobster Tails
In a small bowl add the lemon and orange zest, minced garlic, Paprika and olive oil, mix well.
Using kitchen shears, cut each lobster tail up the front and back just to the start of the tail.
Carefully pry open the top so that you can add the marinade. Do the same on the bottom. Let sit 30 minutes.
You can bake your lobster tails at 400° for approximately 20 minutes or until they reach 140°.
Or you can grill your lobster tails for 7 to 8 minutes per side until they reach 140°
Once the lobster tails have reached temperature, let rest for 10 minutes. Break open the shell & enjoy!
